Japanese Sentence Analyzer by Japanese Complete

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Miso Fluent where we share language learning tips, haiku, and platform updates for Japanese Complete.
We recently added a sentence analyzer tool where you can copy and paste Japanese and get clear part-of-speech analysis. Simply hover over the terms to see their meanings and what part of speech they are.
English word-by-word and Fluent Translations
Want to understand how Japanese sentence structure is almost perfectly reversed from English? Let’s supercharge your understanding by showing you exactly how a sentence is formed. The sentence analyzer tool will show you an English word-for-word translation, you can hover over each term to see which Japanese term it corresponds to in the original. And finally, a fluent English translation provides full comprehension for what is actually being said in the original.

Select a sample sentence or paste your own from an online source like a newspaper.
Click Analyze and wait a bit. If there’s a lot of text like in the above it may take up to 30 seconds or more to produce a result, while most sentences have a result in around 3 seconds.
Hover over terms. Learn what different terms mean by hovering over them, and see to which part of each sentence different terms correspond.
