We developed the quizzing system at Japanese Complete to help you train your eyes for Japanese. By leveraging an English context, our system lets you cut to the chase and learn effectively, fast, and in a memorable way.

You can use the quizzes to see which kanji you understand and which ones you need to study. You can always see the misses from the quizzes in the review drawer, under the review (baby pig) option Fuku-shuu 復習.

The verb quizzes follow a similar pattern, where you have to choose the correct verb to complete the sentence. At the end of the quiz you’ll see what you missed so you can review them at your leisure. We use an English context to teach you the essential Japanese verbs to make it easy and fast to get to the crux of the matter.

Particle quizzes provide an English translation for the one you just got right. You can start to get an intuitive understanding of where to place particles in sequence and how they are versatile and used in Japanese.

When you learn the 777 most frequent kanji, the 555 most frequent verbs, and the 235 particles that make up Japanese, you will have coverage of approximately 90% of the language. That is the Japanese Complete promise: 90% comprehension of Japanese in the wild.

Flashcard App Coming Soon

We have an iPhone app coming soon that covers the 777 kanji of our curriculum. You can use it to learn on-yomi (imported pronunciation) and kun-yomi (native Japanese readings) for each of the 777 kanji. The app will be completely free and available to all.
